Jesus represents God in the flesh. To Christians he is their Lord, Savior and the only way to reach heaven. He also represents the sacrifice for our sins. Hebrews 9:26 states "Then Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But now he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself." Christ died so that we might have salvation. 1 Peter 3:18 proves this, "For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit." Hebrews 9:28, "so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him."

Why was was water precious in Jesus time?

water has always been precious, for it is the element of life. it represents life and living itself. besides i think that u mean wine because wine was represented as Jesus' blood when he and the disciples were having the last supper. jesus has turned water into wine a couple of times according to The Bible. i think that this represents how water is the element of human life and wine is what Jesus can do to it... and i don't mean to get you drunk off wine. i have not studied the bible nor even finished reading it fully but this is my personal interpretation. take it how you will
