Datum is latin for "That which is a given, that which is taken for granted." Its plural is the more common "Data."
The datum supporting my argument comes from my experiment outlined in my report.

A Datum
Oh, dude, working from a different datum can totally mess with your coordinates, like throwing off your GPS by a mile. It's like trying to follow a recipe but using the wrong measurements - your cake is gonna be way off, man. So yeah, working from a different datum can really skew your data and make things go wonky.
To select a suitable datum, consider a stable reference point on the workpiece or surface. Mark the datum clearly and securely. When marking out, ensure all measurements and reference points are taken from this datum to maintain accuracy and consistency. Working from a different datum can lead to incorrect measurements, misalignments, and errors in the final product. It is crucial to avoid this by consistently using the established datum.
Datum shift refers to the adjustment of coordinates from one geographic datum to another. This is necessary when working with maps or geographic data collected using different reference points, such as changing from NAD27 to WGS84. Datum shifts ensure that spatial information is accurately aligned across different datasets.
1. Question is really vague, it is important to mark out the selected datum, as you just selected that datum? What else are you going to do with It? If you are working from another datum point just ensure that it is a good datum with critical measurements checked otherwise the new datum could throw out al measurements. P.s i wish the selected retards would stop answering with nonsense answers.
Datum is not the plural of data. Datum is singular, and its plural form is data.
Correction: What is hydrographic datum? not "hydrography"

datum is the plane in which we can sketch any thing thing
Datum is singular. Data or datums is plural.
sorry but i don't think there is something as datum
According to ASME Y14.5, a primary dimensioning datum requires at least 3 points of contact to establish the datum plane. Two points of contact are required for the secondary datum and 1 point of contact is required for the tertiary datum.
The datum is supported by thorough research.
