β 11y agoThe New Testament only mentions one Church but it has locations in various cities like the Church of God at Corinth (1 Corinthians 1:2). Jesus' half-brother, James was the Head of the Church of God @ Jerusalem where the Apostles held there first big meeting on the Gentiles - the Jerusalem Council.
The main thing to recall here is that Jesus said His true Church would be small and its members to enter into it by the narrow gate - it is His little flock:

Revelations 1 and 2 list 7 Churches in Asia (Cities along a mail route) that some biblical scholars associate with 'eras' of the Church of God through the centuries/millennia. The final two are the Philadelphian and Laodicean Church eras of the end of the 'reign of man.'

The New Testament is also about the birth of Christianity, the spread of the gospel of salvation and the establishment of Christian churches. The New Testament also contains teaching for the new churches.
There are no people listed in the Old Testament named Mary. The New Testament contains the Virgin Mary, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joses, Mary the sister of Martha, and Mary the wife of Clopas.
Two names stand out, Lazrus and John the beloved.
There are many different names for Jesus, both in the NewTestament, and the Old Testament. In the King James version the word - parakalo - does not appear at all. It may appear in other versions/translations.
Paul founded many of the early New Testament Churches. He taught the churches what he had received from the Lord. He guided and corrected the early churches. Paul also prayed for the many New Testament churches.
