To calibrate compass, pull crown to MIDDLE position. Keep watch level or place on level surface (if band interferes, place watch on inverted cup). Watch may be face down, but take care to protect watch face. Press COMPASS push button to begin. Indicator hand rotates two revolutions to remind you to rotate watch. While level, SLOWLY rotate watch two revolutions, taking at least 15 seconds per revolution. This is critical in achieving proper calibration. When done, press any push button, keeping watch level. Indicator hand moves back and forth to acknowledge end of calibration and then moves to current declination angle setting. If you do not wish to set declination angle, push crown in. Otherwise, to have watch automatically compensate for declination angle, turn compass ring until north is at 12 o'clock. Press either TIDE or TEMP push button to move indicator hand east (+) or west (-) to point to your location's declination angle. On the Expedition analog compass watch:
If your needle has begun returning to the rest position pointing away from 12 o'clock, it will also be off from North by the same amount. To reset the rest position, pull the crown ALL the way out, and use the top & bottom right buttons to return it to the 12 o'clock position. Fix the time (clock will have stopped with the crown all the way out.) Push the crown back into the middle position and calibrate (above).
I've owned one for a few months now,Calibration is easy. 1. pull the right hand middle button out once 2. press the left hand compasss button once (the needle will spin twice to let you know it's in calibration mode) 3. slowly spin the watch twice anti-clockwise (taking about 1 min throughout) 4. press the compass button again (needle will swing to and back at the top to let you know it found the magnetic North position) push the right middle button back in. Job Done.
a compass sybolizes a dick
Graduate, measure are a few of its synonyms.
Area of compass: 3.14*15*15 = 706.5 square mm
An analog clock is a clock with numbers in a circle and a minute and hour hand to tell the time.
To set the compass on your Timex Expedition E-Tide Temp watch, press the mode button until you reach the compass mode. Next, rotate the watch horizontally a few times to calibrate the compass. Once calibrated, point the watch's 12 o'clock position towards the North to use the compass feature.
To calibrate compass you need to drive two full 360 degrees turns and this will calibrate your compass. If the calibration is not successfully completed, then you have to go to dealer to install a magnetic plate to help calibration
In most cases you press the reset button on the compass and then drive in circles (in a parking lot) while it calibrates.
I would imagine you are trying to set the on board compass, these require to circle on full lock whilst they self calibrate.
Small magnets are rotated to "null out" local magnet fields so the compass will accurately align to magnetic North.
To calibrate the compass on an OnStar mirror, start by turning the ignition to the "On" position. Then, press and hold the compass calibration button located on the mirror until "CAL" or a direction (such as "N") appears on the display. Next, drive the vehicle in a circle at a speed of about 5 mph until the calibration is complete and the correct direction is displayed on the mirror.
To fix a compass near a magnet, move the compass away from the magnet to ensure accurate readings. If that doesn't work, try demagnetizing the compass by rubbing a strong magnet in the opposite direction. Finally, calibrate the compass according to manufacturer instructions to reset its accuracy.
To calibrate the compass on a Timex Expedition watch, hold the watch level and press and hold the compass button for a few seconds until the "C" symbol appears. Then, rotate the watch horizontally two full 360-degree turns. Finally, aim the watch toward a known direction and the compass should be calibrated.
It should tell you how in the car owner's manual. It's probably a different process in the 2000 and later models.

Hello, You have to calibrate it first. Depending on which model you have, you usually have to push the button on the top right side of the watch for a few seconds, rotate the watch twice with each rotation lasting at least 15 seconds, then enter the declination number for the area that you live in. After calibrating it, just push the same button on the top right side of the watch to display the direction you're heading in. I hope that helps.
Timex makes both digital and analog watches for children. Some of their models include the Kids Digital Camouflage, the Kids Digital Flames, the Kids Digital Rocket Ship, the Kids QA Blue Flowers, the Kids QA Butterflies, and the Kids QA Camouflage.
