The only two of Jesus' healings which are mentioned in Mark, and not in Matthew, Luke or John, are: (1) The healing of the deaf and dumb man in Decapolis - chapter 7 verse 31. (2) The healing of the blind man at Bethsaida - chapter 8 verse 22. In the book of Proverbs chapter 31 and verse 6 you can read "Give strong drink to him that is perishing." In this verse we can see that the drink is used as a medication. In old times pills were not used as they are today.
