Not much. Promotion is done with a more focused energy, where you specifically try to reach the prospective buyers; say by physically walking up to some one and asking them to try something. People advertise themselves all the time by simply wearing something low cut or tight to call attention to themselves. But in a way they are also promoting themselves.
