As a good policy they shouldn't talk rude to you its a bad way to make contact with a customer, but they are human. If you are rude to them or disrespectful they may take it personal and be rude back to you.

The definition of rude is quite broad. Federal law prohibits debt collectors from using profanity or threats of violence when collecting debts. They also cannot call you during the middle of the night (or early morning) or continually harass you with phone calls.
