make sure protocols are in place and are being followed
A System Administrator is generically responsible for all parts of the computer network, such as user accounts, computer accounts, domain trusts, email accounts, etc. The System Administrator is probably specialized in the network server operating systems and user administration. A Database Administrator would deal specifically and in depth with all aspects of one or more databases. The Database Administrator will be highly specialized with the specific database server and client software.
If you mean a server administrator, they must have all rights and access to effectively administrate a server and its database.
Sorry we do not know what you mean by "responsibiliies". and if you meant this word to be "responsibilities", then I am afraid the question itself does not makes sense. If you meant you question to read "How can the responsibilities of a database administrator be implemented" then the answer would be :- By hiring a database administrator. I hope this illustrates for you the importance of taking the time to make sure that your question is asked clearly because those of us that answer questions for people cannot do so if people do not make their questions clear and unambiguous.
It would be a great idea for a small firm to outsource a database management because you can keep records easily, and when you need to find something, it's all in the database.
A DBMS is a database management system. A database application would be something inside the DBMS such as: ~a way to search files ~a way to pull certain information

"System Administrator" is just that a general sysadmin that more than likely is only certified to use Windows Server and is network-savvy. Whereas a Linux System Administrator is certified in Linux and networking.
An administrator can manage, create, delete and update a database. The manager can just update and manage (complete fields). He can't create or delete database. I am a database administrator. An Administrator takes care of the database--having privileges to do anything to a database. Create objects, delete objects, drop objects. A Database Manager is a supervisor over the Database Administrator. Usually a database manager does not know the specifics of an administrator position--but must have high level knowledge of how a database works. That is not to be confused with the database manager that is the non-human engine for the database that provides authorization control, makes integrity checks, and commands the processor.
The average salary for a database administrator depends on the level of experience. The range would be lower for someone straight out of school versus someone who has been in the field for a long time.
To be a database administrator, you will need to begin with your education. A degree in Computer Science would be advantageous. Two other factors to getting a job will be actual experience and professional credentials.
In order to find out if a database administrator career is the right idea for you, you need to do some research. First, start out by finding salary information to see if a database administrator makes enough annually to cover your living expenses. Then, start reading about what training you would need. See if you would be interested in completing the type of education necessary. After that, you can contact people who work in the field of database administration. Ask them if they like their job, and ask them what some of the challenges are. Once you get the answers to all of these questions, you will be able to better know whether or not a career as a database administrator is something you should pursue.

There are a number of courses available for MCITP training , but a few examples would be database developer, database administrator, and consumer support technician.
Pressumably, those would be tasks that require a network connection - for example, updating your antivirus database.Pressumably, those would be tasks that require a network connection - for example, updating your antivirus database.Pressumably, those would be tasks that require a network connection - for example, updating your antivirus database.Pressumably, those would be tasks that require a network connection - for example, updating your antivirus database.
