How do you get a white doberman?
White Doberman Pinschers or Albino Doberman Pinschers are born
when two parents carrying the recessive "Z" Gene are paired
together.
While many people think white dobermans are a novelty dog they
are actually looked down on by the AKC and the DPCA. White doberman
pinschers have a tendency to carry more hereditary disease, have
weaker immune systems, and have shorter life spans than the other
colour variations within the breed.
No reputable breeder would ever breed to a dog who even carried
the Z Gene or who had a white doberman in their lines. It is not
good for the dogs, and it serves only to weaken the breed.
