Woodchucks do bite. I just got a call from my husband saying my son got a bite on his leg. It looks like you are better off not going anywhere near those things just in case.
I just noticed another story on the internet of a girl that also was bit in 2007 (in Auburn) by a rabid woodchuck. Better to be safe then sorry and need to get shots.
