When you first get him back, he should not act like anything, they release them before the anesthetics have completely wore off so he will probably sleep a lot when he gets home. Other than that he might become a little less aggressive, and his personality MIGHT and i stress the might, change a little but he will still be your dog.

A dog can be neutered at any age after 6 months.

I don't know if there are any dog show that allow spayed and neutered dogs.
A neutered male dog is often referred to as a "neutered male" or simply a "neutered dog." Neutering is a surgical procedure that removes the testicles of a male dog to prevent reproduction.
The sterile dog can not cause/have puppies, either because it has been spayed/neutered, or because of genetic issues.
