The best thing to do is to take your dog in to see your Veterinarian. It could be kennel cough. Your pet will sound like something is caught in his/her throat, a dry hacking, unproductive cough. Or your pet might have something in his throat but I doubt it. Only your Vet can diagnose this correctly and give you the necessary medications. If it is kennel cough your pet would need to be on a cough suppressant and antibiotics to prevent a secondary bacterial infection.
