Yes, whales have ears, but they are embedded in the head. Whales to not have the large fleshy appendeges that land mammals use to capture sound and that are called the "outer ear." but whales have all the rest of the structure we call "ears" and they hear very well.

They have, but just not on the outside. External ears would just drag in the water.
