the best shetland sheepdog ever!
probably a shetland sheepdog
I dont really think this answer is best, but my shetland sheepdog is mixed with a Pomeranian, so that makes him a little smaller than other shetlands. When mixed with a Pomeranian, his snout is shorter and his tail curls up. He is very lovable, and my fav dog. :) Answered by davidarchuletfan101 I think maybe you are thinking of the fact that Shetland Sheepdogs are sometimes called miniature collies. This is because they look like rough collies--Lassie-type collies--but are smaller. Shetland Sheepdogs originated in the Shetland Islands north of Scotland. They are small enough already--no one I have heard of is breeding a miniature form of Shetland Sheepdog.
Best thing to do is surf the web and find out what traits a dog breed has. The qualities to look for is exercise needs, size, grooming and sociability. Depending on your circumstances there is no right answer. If you don't want a pure breed still do a little research because the pound can sometimes tell you what the dog has in it or make an educated guess. Here is a website that might can help.http://www.glowdog.com/bestdog/It depends on what kind of dog you want. If you want a barking/guarding dog get a Shetland Sheepdog, Rottweiler, German Shepard, Pittbull, Doberman Pinscher, Blood Hound, etc. If you want a herding dog get an Old English Sheepdog, Belgian Sheepdog, German Shepard, English Shepard, Australian Shepard, Bearded Collie, Border Collie, and Shetland Sheepdog. If you want an excersizy dog get a Golden Retriever, Labrador, Ibizian Greyhound, or any kind. If ylou want a lazy dog get a bulldog, pug, or puggle. If you want a hunting dog, get a beagle, basset hound, yorkie (yes! they were once used to hunt rats), dachshund, or one of those kinds. If you want a small dog, get a toy poodle, miniture poodle, chihuhua, yorkie, corgi, morkie, any teacup kinds, cockapoo, and yah. If you want a big dog, get a grey hound, or an Anatolian Shepard. I recommend a Shetland Sheepdog or a Golden Retriever. You may also want a Maltese (a small dog), Australian Shepard Teacup, or Shetland Sheepdog mixed with Corgis. See videos on YouTube.
