There are 5 types of rhinos in the world. There is the Javan rhino, White rhino, Black rhino, Great One Horned rhino and Sumatran rhino. There is also one extinct rhino called the Woolly rhino.

A very unique animal
The rhino population in India is estimated to be around 2,500 individuals, with the majority found in the state of Assam in national parks such as Kaziranga and Manas. Efforts are being made to protect and conserve these populations from threats such as poaching and habitat loss.
