Not too sure what the record is but my minature daschund "Baxter" is 17 and going strong, he will be 18 in September 2008 . Has anyone got an older daschund?
I am also NOT sure of the oldest daschund, and I am really anxious to find out, but I have Princess, that was born April 15, 1990. She is 18 1/2 and still going great! I think she will out live us all!
Hi, I have Ellie a long haired minature dachshund who will be 18 this September. She is a real little fighter she slipped a disc at the age of 8 and it was 50/50 she would survive at the time. Her mother died 2 weeks after she was born and as she was the weakest in the litter being hand reared by her breeder she was lucky to survive. She is now deaf and blind but still a big character in a little body and I love her to bits - Please let me know how Baxter, Princess and any other old dachshunds are doing as I would love to know.
