a killer whale is actually called an orca, but the term "killer whale" is mixed up, it actually means "whale killer". in answer to this question a toothed whale. but scientists have argued that a orca may be a dolphin? but that's another question.
I think you are referring to the water that is blown up into the air as a whale 'blows' air out of it's blow hole--it's not actually the whale's breath. This is called a spout.
