The fisher relaxed his grip and my cat made his escape. The fisher ran away. My cat ran up the driveway to the house (300 yds.) and collapsed in the snow. I got a light and saw that the cat was covered in blood. The odor was incredibly strong, permeating the area. The cat had punture wounds- 2 between his ears and 2 on his throat. His head had been inside the fisher's mouth. I took the cat to the vet that night where he spent 4 days recuperating from his wounds. The odor took about 10 days to dissipate from the cat. The cat made a complete recovery and definitely used up most of his 9 lives.
