All animals that have haemoglobin circulatory systems (which contains iron) have red blood, including elephants. Animals with haemocyanin systems (which contains copper) have a blueish blood as there is less oxygen absorption; lobster blood is almost grey as there is so little oxygen. Animals with haemolymphatic circulatory systems have a yellowish colour blood, which includes Spiders and some insects.
