One is for dogs and one is for cats
Improved Answer:
There is more to it than the "cat" or "dog" label on the front of the packet or tin. Cats have specialised dietary requirements - cats are strict carnivores. Dogs, while predominantly meat-eaters, can happily scavenge if prey isn't available.
Cats have a higher protein requirement than dogs. Meat is mostly made out of Protein and Fat, and cats use these as their primary energy source.
Taurine: Cats cannot synthesize this compound (unlike dogs and most other mammals), so they must get it straight from meat. Animal tissues such as poultry and fish are natually high in taurine. Not enough taruine in the cat's diet can lead to heart problems and blindness.
Vitamin A is another component cats cannot produce. Dogs can use a compound called "beta carotene" (its what gives fruits and vegatables such as carrots the red-orange colour) and turn that into Vitamin A. Cats cannot. They need to get Vitamin A from meat.
There are also number of fatty acids cats cannot synthesize in their bodies but dogs can, so feeding a cat food specially made for them is the safest option as all the nutrients are included in the food.
A cat and a dog are two different species, and shouldn't really be compared. A dog is a canine, and a cat is a feline.
However...
Most dogs are bigger than cats, but there are exceptions.
Most dogs have much thicker and bigger claws than cats have.
The vocalizations made by a cat or dog differ greatly, though both can "yell", "whine", or "growl'.
Dogs and cats are both carnivorous, but they both prefer different foods.
Cats are more commonly domesticated than dogs due to their lower maintenance.
And while it's a matter of opinion, many people feel that cats are smarter than dogs, and because of this cats don't always come when called.
cats are less aggressive but cause lots of damage to furniture and cut their nails regularly, dogs are a little more aggressive, case less damage to furniture and their nails don't hurt very often but you should still cut their nails for good measures....

For most brands, there is surprisingly very little, or no, difference. Kitten food is largely a money-making marketing gimmick as kitten food is usually priced higher than adult food. A kitten usually eats much more than an adult cat also, which can end up being very expensive.
Kittens have the same nutritional requirements as adults, its only the feeding amount that is different. Feeding a kitten high quality adult food - one with a high meat content which is free of cereals, corn and other grains - is absolutely fine and better for the kitten and your wallet.
cats and dogs look different cause cats have long whiskers and dogs have short whiskers.
Cats and dogs, it varies, there are different types of cats, and different types of dogs. I'd stay neutral on this even though I am a dog person.
They aren't. Dogs and cats are completely different species of animals.
No......They do not,do to my research cats are felines and dogs are different.
Dogs and cats are desended from the same creature, but they are in different orders.
No. They are both different species. Dogs = canine: Cats = feline.
If non-dogs mean creatures that are not dogs then all cats are non-dogs, yes.Cats and dogs are two completely different species. There are many cats who think they are dogs (only when it suits them) and vice versa, that is why there is a saying: Dogs have Masters, Cats have slaves!!
dogs chase cats around because they are two different types of animals!
Because human beings like dogs and cats and keep breeding more different types.
there are different kinds but people usually keep dogs and cats.
yes cats can learn exactly like dogs except you need a different approach
no they cant because dogs and cats are completely different to use!
