A gerbil's personality is usually springy and intellegent. But sometimes if they are living on their own or their cage is too small they can become bored. Obviously older gerbils can become weaker and less up for running around all day, but other than that they make great pets!

They are not prone to biting their owner as long as they are handled properly and regularly.
