I believe so, they are both rodents. Did you now the capybara is the largest rodent ever to live on the earth? They have webbed feet and can swim while rats can be gross and annoying and very creepy!

Giant Guinea pigs. In South America they are raised for food , but capybara can be very friendly hand-raised .

Capybaras are rodents, more specifically they are members of the Cavy, or Caviidae family. This is the family that domestic guinea pigs belong too, so the Capybara is related to those.
