i have 2 ferrets and i feed them can of cat food but they are not aloud seafood

eg: fish

for a little treat they love fruit like sultanas an dried fruit also...

EDIT:

Ferrets are obligate carnivores and cannot digest fruits, vegetables, grains, milk, and sugar. Feeding these items is unhealthy and can lead to disease later in life. Raisins and grapes are actually toxic to ferrets.

Kibble should have at least 35% protein, 20% fat, and have less than 3% fiber. At least 4 of the first 6 ingredients should be meat. They can eat fish like whitefish and salmon but avoid varieties high in Mercury such as tuna. Feeding fish does make their poo smellier so give it sparingly.

Cat/kitten food can be fed providing it meets the criteria above. Dog food does not contain taurine and is not good for ferrets

Good treats are meat based: cooked/raw meats (chicken, turkey, rabbit, beef), scrambled or raw eggs, meat baby food. Most ferret love Ferretone or olive oil.

Ferrets (in the wild) are eaten by numerous Birds of Prey as well as carnivorous mammals.

Domestic ferrets possible predators would be hawks, owls, or any larger carnivorous mammals would hunt them given the opportunity.

Black-footed ferrets face threats in the wild from predators which includes coyotes, great-horned owls, golden eagles, prairie falcons, badgers, bobcats and foxes

Wild ferrets could very well be prey for birds of prey.

I would be really curious to know. I have had several ferrets that I have used for hunting. And I have seen ferrets kill a few poisonous snakes. Likewise, I have seen poisonous snakes kill ferrets. I do not see any lizard killing a ferret. So I am guessing a Western Diamond Back rattle snake.

Is it okay to give ferrets milk?

Ferrets are lactose intolerant and cannot digest any dairy products. Dairy products such as milk can cause loose stools or diarrhea in ferrets. Advise from another contributor: we have five ferrets and have done quite a bit of research over the years, and i read on a few occasions that ferrets are lactose intolerant and therefore it is not good to give them milk as it can give them diarrhea. we also learned this as we gave one a small amount of milk and he had diarrhea. poor little thing.
