The Maned Wolf (Chrysocyon brachyurus) closely resembles the Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes), but the two are of an entirely different genus (note the name), and the Maned Wolf is much larger than the Red Fox.

In addition to this, the Maned Wolf also has a black mane (hence the name), which can be erected when the Wolf feels threatened - to enlarge it's profile, or when showing aggression.
