It is very important to keep the puppy warm. use blankets and heating pad if needed. Make sure is nursing several times a day and if not than you can get formula and bottle feed him. It is good o handle the pup from birth to get him used to you rtouch and smell. It is also good to give him alone time to move and get a feel for his body and muscles. The pup will probaly just eat and sleep for the first couple of days but he will start to become more and more active over time. So let him do his own thing.
The mother of the puppies should know what to do. But you must remember NOT TO LET OTHER DOGS OR CHILDREN NEAR THE PUPPIES - because if the mother smells another human/dog scent on the puppies she will reject them; she will either eat them or just not look after them.
