Horses will chase anything that the think is going to harm them. Because they are prey animals, they live by the "Flight or Fight" instinct. Most horses will run away from something they think will harm them, but outgoing horses (or often, the herd leader) will attempt to chase away anything that it feels is going to harm it or its herd -- thus giving the other horses a chance to escape.
Horses chase each other when they get upset and then they start kicking each other.
"Chase" by Jessie Haas is a novel about a teenage girl named Chase who struggles with her family's financial difficulties and her passion for horses. The story follows Chase as she navigates her relationships with her family, friends, and her beloved horse, Red. Chase's determination and love for horses drive her to overcome obstacles and pursue her dreams.
It is known as a steeple-chase.
Horses are herbivores and therefore will not eat birds. Some horses are very territorial and will chase and/or kill other animals that enter their space. But they would not eat the animal.
Because they could chase them down.
Horses graze. To "hunt" food actually means to find their prey, stalk/chase and kill it. Horses don't "hunt."
It depends on the horse. There are some horses that are breed for herding cattle. People often use them for 4-H and do roping because the horse tends to want to chase the cow or herd them. These horses are called cutting horses.
If they are reall cowboys then they would all ride horses.... .... I do
It is not just pit bulls that attack horses. There are several breeds that do. Terriers have high play drives and since pits are in the terrier family they also have a high play drive...and lots of energy to go with. It is natural for them to want to chase something. Pits, like other dogs with high play drives, can be taught to not chase or attack horses. I have pits and horses and they get along just fine.
