The are about 3-6 feet long. They have a graceful look to them, and have a brownish coat covered with rosettes, which are a cluster of 4-5 spots that usually touch each other. There is a difference in rosettes between Leopards and Jaguars, because Jaguars have a small spot in the center of their rosettes.
Snow leopards have thick, long, and beautiful coats of course fur that are white, yellowish, or gray. They cover a dense, wooly undercoat that gives further protection against the bitter cold. These coats, while protecting the leopards from the bitter cold of their territory, help them blend in with their surroundings while stalking prey. Their fur is long and coarse; around the belly area, it can grow to be 3-5 inches long! These thick coverings of fur are splattered with dark spots, smudges, and dots, which gives it the appearance of the speckled rock of the mountains. Unlike other big cats, who normally display amber eyes, snow leopards have blue, gray, or green eyes, which peer out from their furry faces. Snow leopards also have very sensitive whiskers that at help them in many ways. Snow leopards have round heads, slender bodies, long tails, and broad, furry paws; all of these are crucial parts in the snow leopard's survival. Their slender bodies and long tails allow them to maneuver easily on the rocky mountainsides, while the tail can also provide extra warmth, given that it can wrap around the snow leopard's body; meanwhile, those huge paws act like snowshoes on snowy terrain, and the fur around them keeps them warm.
Snow leopards generally grow to be 60-100 in. long (from nose tip to tail tip) and 2 feet tall at the shoulders. They normally weigh about 77-120 pounds, the females being 30% smaller than the males on average.
Snow leopards also have 18 claws and 30 razor-sharp teeth that could easily shred you to slices!
Cheetahs are cats with many of the same adaptations found in dogs. Unlike most large cats cheetahs run their prey down and work in packs, as opposed to acting like solitary stealth hunters who sneak up on their prey and then pounce on their prey. The physical adaptations are in the leg length, feet size and type, and muscle physiology.
