Two land masses found mainly in the north polar zone are Greenland and the Arctic Archipelago in Canada. These regions are located predominantly in the Arctic Circle and are characterized by their cold climates and icy landscapes.
The polar front is found in north Alaska and can sometimes be found as far south as Newfoundland!

The northern polar region contains more land compared to the southern polar region. This is because the Arctic region, located in the northern hemisphere, is mostly surrounded by landmasses while the Antarctic region in the southern hemisphere is mostly covered by ice with a continent beneath it.
Wild polar bears are found up north in the Arctic. You will NEVER find a polar bear in the Antarctic.
