The closest living relatives of horses are zebras and donkeys. These three species belong to the same taxonomic family, Equidae.
Zebras are in the horse family- their closest relatives are horses and donkeys.
Believe it or not. The Rhino and Tapir are the horses closes relatives. The zebra comes behind them. Sweeney_Todd_Fan
Horses and zebras are both equines. They are therefore related to asses, donkeys, onagers and mules (sterile hybrid of a horse and donkey). A cross between a male zebra and a female horse is called a zorse. Although an okapi looks a bit like a horse and a bit like a zebra, it is not related to either one. Its closest relative is the giraffe.
the horse[[User:Brinkers|Brinkers]] 19:20, 10 Jan 2008 (UTC)~ If you are saying what are the horse's relatives, there are many. Donkey, mule, zebra, pony. That's about it.
A horse's family is a herd. It is usually made up of an alpha mare, her sisters and aunts (female relatives) ect., and one breeding stallion. Domestic horses have human families. And human families can vary greatly but if there is a horse in the family there almost certainly has to be a breadwinner. And in the majority of cases there will be at least one horse-crazy girl.
Humans' farthest relatives are believed to be other primates, such as gorillas, orangutans, and chimpanzees. These species share a common ancestor with humans, although the evolutionary paths diverged millions of years ago.
