Well, it depends. If the cat is hissing at you without a good reason, then you should correct them by saying no firmly and maybe shooing them away. However, your cat may hiss at another cat or dog (which in most cases, should be corrected). Sometimes a mother cat will even hiss at her kittens if she feels they are misbehaving.
