With experience (i have two), I have found that they eat whatever and whenever they want. Just supply it with loads of food and water, they don't hoard it or stuff their pouches like hamsters. They eat it when they need it. I would say they eat approximately 15g (or less) each day (per gerbil) which is around 1/2 tablespoon or so.
Gerbil food.
Noooooooo!!!
Feed it unfresh food
It is called DOG FOOD. It is not gerbil food. Gerbil`s usually eat grass, and other small veggies. If you want, or think, your gerbil should be eating dog food please, see a doctor.
Give 1 teaspoon of gerbil food per gerbil. If you have 2 put 2 teaspoons of food in their bowl. Hope this helped!
no
between 5 and 15 grams a day, it depends on the gerbil.watch how much they eat then go from there. if you are looking at buying a gerbil, so you want to know this for the price, assume 15grams a day, and it will probably be less. 15g = about a tablespoon
they will happily eat the pellets and minerals in a pet shop food. although they like fresh foods in it such as carrots, ( only one slice a day) apples and plums.
No. A gerbil eats bugs, some roots, and premixed gerbil food. Giving it a pinecone could give it intestinal problems.
Until the mom has another litter, or until the baby gerbil can eat solid food.
Because it eat's unheathy food all the time.
Gerbil food mixes what you get from pet shops- it says on the packet.
