Practically none. White tigers aren't a separate species, they're a rare but naturally occurring variation of (usually) the Bengal tiger. They've always been so rare that any hunter going out after one would be coming home empty-handed for most of his career. Almost all alive are in zoos and wildlife parks, where they aren't hunted at all.
There are around 2300 in the wild.
Tigers are hunted and killed for their fur, sometimes for other things like teeth. They kill so many a year. Most skin the tigers alive! Tigers are poached because of the money people can get for various parts of their body on black markets in Asia. These black markets exist because eastern medicine values certain parts of the tiger for their supposed medical value. It is really a shame that these medical practices which have no scientific merit are the cause of such cruelty towards tigers.
The wild population is around 4500-5500.
about 2000 or 20000 or so
right now nearly none because of every tiger species is on the endangerd animal list.
about 100,000
Probably around 2000 presently.
There were zero alive because they went extinct about 10, 000 years ago, at the end of the Ice Age.
Tigers used to be plentiful but in the past years tigers have been hunted for their coats in large numbers. Tigers also produce some kind of rare medicine that is very expensive but many hunters still take the risk on hunting them now that poaching wild cats has been banned.
