There is no set pattern or syllabus for the Common Aptitude test of CAT, but there are sections on which applicants should pay attention.
The sections include:
- Quantitative Aptitude
- Maths
- Verbal Ability
- English Language Skills
- Data Interpretation
- Logical Reasoning
Since the results of CAT are already out, and in case you have given the CAT exam and weren't able to get through to the IIMs, I am also listing some of the other options that you should consider after your CAT exam:
Option 1: CRISIL's CCAP - They pay you while on course and offer job after completion. Accepts CAT Scores. http://crisil(dot)com/ccap/edm-ccap/
Option 2: GMAT/GATE - Better exposure and pay. http://www(dot)iitk.ac.in/gate/gate2011/
Option 3: Apply for institutes which accept CAT Scores like MDI Gurgaon, SP Jain Mumbai, NITIE Mumbai, IMT Gaziabad among to name a few.
If it is the CAT Exam in India that is for admissions into IIM's you are talking about, then is no upper cap on the no of attempts.
