Frankly speaking , there is no exam in the world which needs more than 6 months to crack it. A dedicated study for 6 months is more than enough.
One can easily prepare maths and reasoning in not more than 4-5 months , but for English u have to study at least 2-3 hrs a day for 6 months. In addition to it one has to read good novels at least till 10 days before the exam.
