I have been hunting my whole life, and I recently went out last weekend to go hunt deer. While in the blind I had my rangefinder out and sighted in a deer at 343 yards. I was wondering the same thing-How far can this shoot. I aimed about 2 inches high and pulled the trigger. Next thing you know I have a 6x6 buck! So to answer your question 300+ yards.
it is the only gun i will use for deer it si the perfect size and it shoots far
The vast majority of people, by far, never kill a deer.
3.5 miles give or take a few hundred feet
it will certainly kill a deer around 100 to maybe around 175 but i wouldn't push it much further than that to kill anything...... Now target shooting........ that's a different story
At least a half mile.
To retain enough muzzle energy to kill a deer size game animal,I keep the 30-30 Win.cartridge to within 175 yards for all my shots.
have shot targets with 270 Winchester at 1000 yards. never tried one further. Have shot smaller bullets at longer range, would think the 270 would be accurate at longer range as well.
About 1" past the muzzle.
15-20 yards if it is a good shot
you can just yell depending on how far away it is and it will stop long enough for you to shoot. if you want to know how to sound like a deer the look it up on youtube or somthing because i have no idea how to spell out a deer noise.
Typically a winchester model 1894 in 30-30caliber is a rifle with a 100-150 yard range limit to kill a deer size animal. This is limited to the cartridge remaining energy in foot pounds at that range.if you choose to shoot a model 1894 for plinking at the range then the shooting range is as far as you can shoot accurately.
in the hands of a skilled shooter a 22-250 will hit a deer 350 yards, no problem, but its all user dependant.
