What the vets wont tell you is that cocci is a staph infection and needs astrong dose of antibiotics for 4 or more weeks. They will give you a week antibiotic's so it just about cures it and comes back. In my opinion this is to get the repeat visits and charges.
My cat has had a large sore on his front foot for nearly a year now. I have spent over a $1000 so far for something that should take one visit Take control yourself and get a strong antibiotic and use it till it clears up, if not you are just torturing the poor animal. Put a lampshade on as licking makes it worse and spreads it. I wrapped the foot in a gauze pad with Neosporin and silver. Tape up with brown tape not too tight. Checkthe toes that they are warm. I hate vets as it seams it is all about the money and not the animal
