it all depends on what you are planning to do with the squirrel; if you are skinning it for the meat you should cut underneath the tail until you break the bone do not cut off the tail just cut it so that its hanging on by skin. next you cut were the meat meets the skin and start to seprate it from the hip get about an inch and then flip the animal over and place a foot or knee on the tail and pull the skin should mostly come off like a sock. there may still be fur on the legs you take this skin off like taking off a sock
