The first thing I mention to guys that wants to train their dog is that I never give a treat for performing a trick. I want the dog to be obidient to my commands no matter what. When I walked my dog in the park some cats came up from the grass and my dogs got up to it. With my command my dog let go of the cat without a reward. So the first thing I recommend is to train dogs without treats no matter how many times you see this on tv.

To teach a dog to sit, first wait for the dog to be 6 month old. After walking him 20 or 30 minutes, gently push down the rear part of the dog saying sit 1 time. The dog will spring up back in no time. Gently repeat the procedure as many times as the dog needs. If the dog shows that it learned the command, it don't end there. Repeat the lesson for a few days.

In the future the dog will respond to your command. It is good to shows pitbulls some other commands.
