It is very difficult to determine a newly born kitten's gender, as it takes a few weeks for the genitals to develop and become more defined. A male's testicles do not descend until they are at least a few weeks old. The best way to try and tell them males from females is the anus and the penis are further apart than the anus and vulva on the females. The vulva is usually tear-drop shaped whereas the penis is much rounder.

Altair had to have a child for Ezio to be born so, we know he had a child. We just don't know which gender.
Some male cats know a kitten is theirs by their scent and mother, but most males even if they know the kitten is theirs will probably not want to have much to do with it, because of the mother cat's protectiveness over her children. However a few male cats will actually bring food to the mother and babies and take care of them part of the time.
*The tail has nothing to do with knowing the gender of a cat. Look for the male and female genitalia. It's different from knowing the gender in beta fish, because in beta fish you can know by its tail but not in cats.

Children instinctively know what gender they are. It is not learned behavior, but natural. This is why we have transgender people who haven't felt right all of their lives as the gender they were born into. If it was learned behavior this wouldn't be the case.
The antonym of the noun 'gender' is genderlessness, a word for the state of having no gender.
Yes they do know that you are human. They know because of their sense of smell.
Cats, like humans, naturally know when/how to mate.
You know a cat's labour is over when the kitten is born. The contractions stop. The last things is when she stops panting.
Cats are psychic. They have a six sense that tells them which humans are likeable. If you have a cat that has come to your door and attaches to you, then you know what I mean. I have some cats in my house I have a family member that the cats DO NOT go to. Why? I don't know. Cats know.
As far as I know cats only really know how to claw, jump, and bite, in fighting.
