Only clean your rabbit when it is stained, never bathe them! Baths can be dangerous for rabbits - see the related question (linked below) for details. Also, if a rabbit is dirty, that means something is wrong, and it could be sick. If the rabbit is just a little stained, put Witch Hazel on a cotton ball, and rub off the stains.

Every month, you should groom your rabbit and give him (or her) a physical exam. This way, you can keep the rabbit clean and healthy, and catch signs of illness or injury before they turn into emergencies. When the rabbit is moulting, you should brush him every day so that he doesn't eat too much fur. (Unlike cats, rabbits can't vomit, so when they get fur-balls they can get very, very sick.) See the related link below for more details about grooming.

Rabbits clean themselves (they lick their fur, just like cats), so you shouldn't have to clean their ears at all.

If you think your rabbit's ears need cleaning, then you should go to the vet. This isn't something you can do at home. A rabbit's ears are very, very sensitive.

If your pet rabbit's ears are gunky or dirty, this is a very definite sign that your rabbit is ill or injured.

A common cause of gunky ears is a parasite infestation called "ear canker" -- this is easily treated by a single shot of selamectin, a drug you can only get that at the vet's. Do not hesitate, because this is very painful for your rabbit, and can lead to permanent scarring and injury; also, pain itself can lead to deadly illness (GI stasis).

If your bunny's ears are a little waxy, or you think maybe something is lodged inside your rabbit's ear (if the rabbit is scratching its ear a lot and shaking its head), the vet can help with that too. Anything you might do at home will likely result in more serious injury to the rabbit. Do not attempt to put anything in the rabbit's ear!

Just take a cloth with warm water, make the rabbit calm, and clean the leg by rubbing the cloth up against the rabbit leg.
