I can't say for sure, but my mini schnauzer is around 15 pounds and is overweight, I would say the ideal weight would be around 10-12 pounds, but to be certain I would ask your vet. Also, they say when a dog is their ideal weight you should be able to feel their ribs, not see them, but be able to feel them without have to dig around to find them.
A full grown miniature schnauzer should weigh between 14 and 20 pounds. Perhaps your dog is a standard schnauzer, not a miniature. Miniatures should grow to be about a foot tall; standards, about a foot and a half. Is your puppy real tall or just overweight?
Yes, the miniature schnauzer is in the AKC Terrier Group
No, there are 3 types of schnauzers. Miniature, Standard, and Giant. They all vary in size.
The Miniature Schnauzer is classified as a terrier while as the Standard Schnauzer and the Giant Schnauzer are classified as working dogs.
Well, first I have to tell you something. Miniature Schnauzers were meant for ratting, or to kill rats. Well obviously the rat will die but your Miniature Schnauzer will be fine. --- As an addendum to the point above, your Miniature Schnauzer may not be fine - rats may be rife with bacteria and disease, which your Schnauzer may not be used to. If your Schnauzer has bit a rat, it may be an idea to discuss it with your vet, as the bacteria could cause your Schnauzer to get sick.
Yes it did
brown
Schnauzer pit bull or Dobermanns obviously
No. This weight is perfectly normal for a miniature schnauzer. If your schnauzer gets overweight, take him/her for a run or a walk daily and only give him/her treats or "cookies" when they "do their jobs" outside. Only feed them at about 8:00 in the morning and at 6:30 in the evening. They can gain weight easily, so make sure they don't get excessive amounts of treats. Nope. . . . This is the weighs the adult Minature Schnauzer weighs. . I have a Minature Schnauzer and she is 17 pounds and she is only 1 1/2 years old so yeah this is a good weight for the Minature Schnauzer . . :-)
It's a type of dog.
Tramp is a Miniature Schnauzer .
The earliest recorded Miniature Schnauzers were in Germany in the mid to late 1900s, resulting from the cross-breeding of the standard Schnauzer and the poodle.
