They don't need to keep warm, they have a double coat so they stay warm.
Alaskan Malamutes and Huskies are both popular when dogsled racing as they can keep warm with their coat and keep a pace
it doesnt
because they can hunt there own food, keep themselves warm with there thick fur, and fend for themselves
Husky's are generally found in the Arctic, or similar snowy continent's. They need a thick coat to keep them warm.
It is simply the way they have evolved. They have evolved to grow large because they are native to the frozen regions of Siberia and will need to keep their body off the ground in order to keep warm.
They have a dense under coat which is just like a fur coat to keep them warm. Fun fact: Their fur coat also helps them stay cool in summer! :)
Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes are my opinion for the best dogs for the iditarod because that is what these breeds are meant to do. They have a tough, thick coat that will keep them warm in the very cold weather. And they have very strong paws and legs. Things like the iditarod are one of the reasons these dogs are in this world today. This is my opinion but it makes sense to me.
because they are extremely good at it .. theyre very very fast .. mine can pull at 35mph .. and huskies can pull a sled for a hundred miles without taking rest. they are quick to move and quick to react .. they were bred for pulling and trust me a husky loves to pull ..
whales keep warm by their blubber! good question
Siberian huskies were born in Russia to withstand temperatures of below 40-60 degrees, so a sweater is not neccessarily since they have a warm, thick double coat.
The fur on their bodies keep them warm.
