Dolphins talk to each other by using clicks and whistles. Some people use click languages. Some people use whistle languages. No group of people speak a language consisting of both clicks and whistles and no spoken words. Perhaps if someone created one it would become possible to talk to dolphins.

Dolphins use several forms of communication, they use body language to some extent in close proximity to other individuals, and from longer distances they use a complex series of whistles which scientists are currently working on interpreting. As previously stated, dolphins produce some sound that is either too high or too low for the human ear to detect, (either in intra or ultrasound range) this sound can be detected by wideband recording devices which are then raised/lowered in octave to an audible pitch.
Dolphins use sound waves which bounce off other objects such as fish, or other dolphins, and come back to them. They can tell how far away another object is too, since their eyesight isn't very good. They can use this to find food.
They also talk to each other by making sounds with their mouths. They have their own. I guess you'd call it secret language, and apparently only dolphins understand it
a dolphin uses screeches, clicks and whistles to communicate. It also uses echolocation to find its food.
I don't think people discovered that yet but I know they skweak at each other...
