Fence it. Putting a fence around your rabbits is a simple solution but bare in mind that your rabbits will be stressed out even if your dogs are fenced away from them, especially 4 large dogs. They can still hear, smell and see the dogs which are simply large predators to them. It will probably be hard to raise any rabbits in this environment because it is the rabbits basic survival instinct to protect the herd by not having babies if they feel a threat and also by eating their young if they do have them.
The baby rabbit can die. The dogs can give it a heart attack!! :(
No, dogs cannot get rabbit pox. Rabbit pox is a viral infection that only rabbits can catch, however, the illness was isolated.
probably rabbit's
Easy you can't they are not like dogs they would most likely try to hop away and that could hurt them
hopefully u have a very well fenced area and no big, hungry dogs. or raccoons'. or... well the list goes on. my bunnies ran away a few yrs. ago and I've never seen them. but it should stay near food. try putting out its favorite snack and see if that works. or place its hutch (if u have one) and see if it comes back home. good luck. Also, if you have neighbors, ask them to keep an eye out for the rabbit!
faster than the dogs
Rabbits can be litter-trained like a cat but if you let them run loose you need to watch that they don't chew electrical cords. It is best to keep them in a cage or hutch when you can't supervise them. ===Now that you have updated the question to say you have a dog and cat running free in the house, that is going to result in your rabbit turning into dog/cat food.=== Do not let the animals interact. There are cases where cats and dogs and rabbits that are raised together will tolerate each other but that is the exception rather than the rule. You can build a hutch for your rabbit and let it spend time outdoors in the hutch or you can let it run supervised in a room with the dog and cat locked out.
No it snot harmful to dogs my dog ate rabbit poop more than 3 months ago and he still feels fine.
It depends if you want something quite then I prefer rabbit but if you want something which you can play with then I prefer a puppy as rabbit would usually run away from you but the dogs will stay with you i had a bunny he died and i still have a german shepherd
Go on the Internet and go to PetSearch.com. It will tell you to select a country, state, then city. It will show you the nearest locations to get a rabbit. OR...... get a rabbit at the Humane Society, (extra large animal shelter with dogs, cats and rabbits) the or Animal Shelter.
