People can sponsor the Orang utans and the money goes to the local people so they don't cut down the Rainforest and Orang utans homes remain lush and plentiful. Since Orang utans are solitary animals they need lots of space to roam so they don't fight over territory. They also need their trees so there is plenty of food. People such as Lone Droscher Nielson run Orang utan rescue centres were they take in orphaned Orang utans and then release them into a protected area were they can live in a group.
