Not if they're not trained to do so. If they're trained to do so (and consequently called "oxen"), yes, they do if the owner asks them of it. Like draft horses, they're legs and bodies are strong enough to pull a plow or any kind of machinery that requires the use of draft animals.

Cow don't usually pull ploughs, oxen do. They are much stronger than cows. Oxen are castrated bulls which are about 5 years old and trained.. But when used for work, they are then called oxen. Oxen are most often most comfortably worked in a yoke: a solid beam of wood with bows to secure the animals together. The yoke is sized to fit the team and is traditionally measured as the
distance between the sides of the bow. A small team of calves usually starts out in a small 5-inch yoke, while a 2-ton team may wear an 11-inch or larger yoke. ~ some of this info is from a blogger who farms with oxen.
