a dog can get along well with a chinchilla as long as its alright with small animals/ rodents. I Warn you do NOT leave a dog and chinchilla unsupervised same with cats. all though some people train their dogs not to hurt chinchillas no matter how much effort you put into that the dog may still attack. i almost lost my chinchilla this way, as chinchillas like to be boss they like to jump and taunt the dog. anyway I would recommend it but NEVER leave them on their own.
Thx for lisening
Lauren
no, chinchillas can not swim and if they do their fur will fall out or the will drown.
Well, chinchillas move just like any other dogs, really. They ARE a bit smaller than other dogs, so maybe that affects the way they walk?
not in the same cage. chinchillas are much bigger and will eat it
I don't believe that chinchillas hibernate or estivate.
go extinct
Chinchillas are usually friendly, unless you don't give them a lot of attention. They are independent, but during the daytime will let you pet them. They are nocturnal, so its hard to hold them at night because they're so jumpy. It's best to get a chinchilla that's a baby, and them give them a lot of attention so that they will like you. If they like you, then they will be more friendly and it will be easier to hold them.
They do not need to go on annual vet visits like dogs or cats, but when they do get sick they need medical attention, and with some illnesses, they need to get a vet very quickly because they can go downhill very quickly.
People are mating chinchillas so they wont go extinct
Go to the humane society and ask about dogs that go well with other animals.
Chinchillas are interesting animals. They tend to get stressed extremely easily but can also get along very well with other chinchillas whom they like.
because they have reservations
They taste there food so they taste fine
