In the wild - no. Jaguars live in South America and tigers in Asia. Different continents, far, far from each other.
In an artificial setting like a zoo, I don't know. Even a big jaguar is a lot smaller than a small tiger.
They might either not accept each other, or they might simply be too far apart on the evolutionary tree for there to be any cubs.
They both have 38 chromosomes and are large cats from the same continent that look similar in structure (yes there are Jaguars in the southern United States), and seeing as Asian tigers and African lions can breed and they both look very phenotypically different and have vastly different habitats and habits, so MAYBE. The only way to know for sure is to try, but it would be very un-likely to happen naturally as their territories do not usually overlap, and if they did cross the cubs would likely be sterile. Females may have a chance of being fertile but more than likely not males due to Haldane's Rule.
In captivity. The leopard is an old world species, found in Asia, and Africa. Jaguars are found in the Americas. The hybrid is called a "jagulep", or "jagupard".
No, the jaguar is much bigger than a cougar.
I think it is Jaguar?
a cougar
A cheeta would loose against a cougar as well as a Jaguar, and the Cougar would lose about 70% of the time with a jaguar. The Jagaur is the biggest, and the Cougar is the middle, and the cheetah is last, and would be lucky to win against a cougar.
A jaguar or a cougar
Both are native to the Americas, the jaguar being the heaviest, and the cougar being the second-heaviest cat. They are both apex predators, but the cougar is not always the apex predator in its range.
the reproductive areas
What eats a monkey are a Leopard, Jaguar and Cougar.
Jaguar vs cougar. The jaguar is 8.5 feet long and weighs 210 - 320 pounds at average. The cougar is 7 - 7.5 feet long and weighs 150 - 200 pounds at average. A jaguar is bigger, stockier, and more muscled. The bite is almost as strong as a lions or tigers bite, and the teeth are huge. The jaguar and cougar may fight a bit, but the jaguar, if pinned, will bite the cougar in the chest and then finish the cougar off by biting the head. Jaguars are more powerful. But cougars are far more aggresive than jaguars and may bite the jaguar on the neck if pinned before the jaguar can bite back, but the jaguar would win if showing aggresion first. Jaguars are heavier than pumas, but not longer. Male jaguars weigh 150-210 pounds on average, although a few may reach 300 pounds. Puma males average 125-160 pounds, but may reach 200.
