Most Shiba-Inu's get sick in the heat. Don't cover them with blankets and if they're outside for too long make sure they have plenty of water. If not the dog will probably throw up.

∙ 9y agoIt is possible to keep a Shiba Inu in a hot environment. However, this is generally not recommended as this breed of dog has a low tolerance of heat.
Sure you can, you can also check with breeders! I know their are Shiba Inu breeders in Canada! P.S. They prefer cooler weather!

Mine doesn't.
A Shiba Inu is the smallest of the five Breeds native to Japan with the Akita Inu being the largest.
The Shiba Inu is one of the smallest and distinct spitz breeds of dogs from Japan. The Shiba Inu was originally bred to hunt animals like birds and rabbits.

A Shiba Inu is a Japanese dog with a curly tail. These dogs have ATTITUDE, man! These little guys are extremely stubborn and don't get on with other dogs very well. But they are very loyal to their owner(s). Medium to small in size. They can be tan or black. There is even a book on JUST a Shiba Inu. It is called "Hatchiko Waits". (I think, so don't make fun of me if that is not the title or it is not about Shiba Inus!!)
i will buy it
