In MY opinion, I find french to be alot less complicated than mandarin Chinese.
Because to learn Chinese you have to know the symbols, read them and write them correctly. Mandarin Chinese pronounciation can be quite difficult also. As with french there are no symbol and in my opinion french is easier to pronounce.
